Wyndham Collins BDS (GDC-43607)

Qualifying from Manchester in 1979, Wyndham moved to the West Midlands where his wife, who is a hospital specialist, had her first job. These first practices influenced Wyndham's career pathway developing an interest in endodontics (root canal therapy) and prevention dentistry.

Being from rural Pembrokeshire the call of the sea was too much, and he moved to the South Coast and joined Ian Hallam as a partner in 1988, further developing his dental interest and spending more time windsurfing.

To improve the quality of care that Wyndham provides in endodontics he embarked upon using a surgical microscope some five years ago. This and digital radiography is now used routinely for all aspects of his dental care improving diagnosis and quality of care.

Recently Wyndham has become a member of the British Society of Occlusal Studies, after discovering the links between how our teeth bite together and its influence on such things as headaches, neck aches and painful jaw joints.

Wyndham is a member of the British Dental Association, the British Endodontic Society and the Society of Periodontology.

Cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry as well as preventative care hold a special interest for Wyndham.

Patients may very well remember his two children sitting in the waiting rooms towards the end of the day, waiting for their father to finish. Today Gareth is an investment banker and Katie has followed her fathers footsteps and works as an associate dentist in a practice in Lincolnshire.
