Coming to see a new dentist for the first time can be a bit nerve-wracking, especially if you haven’t been for a while. It’s something we are very aware of and do our best to give everyone a warm welcome. We don’t give any lectures, just honest friendly advice and most importantly of all, we realise that you’re the boss and that we work for you.

The thing I most enjoy about the job is learning and I am currently studying for a Masters degree in Dental Implantology at Bristol. Through my role as a dentist appraiser with Hampshire PCT I have to keep my skills and knowledge current to be able to advise other dentists.

When not at Westleigh or Bristol I am also the visiting dentist to North Hampshire Hospital in Basingstoke. Home is near Alresford where I live with my wife Philippa and two young daughters.

Some people collect things as a hobby. I lose them. Golf balls. Thousands of them. But I still delude myself that Tiger Woods wouldn’t have won 14 majors, if only I hadn’t squandered my youth by going to dental school!
